Penta Just Broke His Own Brother’s Arm to Get to Roman Reigns — And RAW Mexico Will Never Be the Same

Some matches you watch. This one, you felt.

RAW touched down in Mexico with a stacked stipulation on the table: winner take all, loser go home, and a shot at Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship on the line. But what nobody fully prepared for was that the two men fighting for that opportunity would be brothers — Rey Fenix and Penta — and that neither of them would hold back for a second.

A Tie-Up That Turned Into a War

It started the way these things always do — a collar-and-elbow lockup, feeling each other out, trading shots in the center of the ring. Penta whiffed on an early leg drop, and just like that, Rey Fenix made him pay. A hurricanrana. Then another — this one off the top rope, the kind of high-flying opener that told the crowd exactly what kind of night this was going to be.

Penta wasn’t having it. He answered with a dropkick that sent his own brother to the floor, then launched himself over the top rope and wiped Rey Fenix out completely. The chess match was already over. This was a fight now.

Brother vs. Brother, No Mercy in Sight

Coming back from the break, Penta kept the pressure on, grinding Rey Fenix down — until Fenix fired back with a superkick and a knee to the back of the head that shifted the momentum right back. From there, the match turned into an exchange neither man could pull ahead in for long. A Corkscrew. A cutter for a near fall. A flurry of Yes Kicks. And then the moment that had the entire arena on its feet — both brothers trading superkicks, one after another, until they were both laid out on the mat, completely spent.

It should have ended there. It didn’t.

Near Falls, Backbreakers, and a Table That Didn’t Survive

Penta superkicked his way back into control, dropping Fenix to the floor. Back in the ring, a backbreaker got him a near fall. Fenix answered right back — unloading offense until Penta cut him off again with a backstabber, another near fall. Then Fenix, seemingly running on instinct alone, connected with a kick and launched into a springboard moonsault, still not enough to put his brother away.

By the time Penta went for a powerbomb, both men were operating on fumes — and somehow, they kept climbing. Literally. Both brothers ended up on the top rope together, trading headbutts in a spot that felt more like a dare than a wrestling move.

Then came the sequence that will be replayed for weeks: Penta going for the Mexican Destroyer, Fenix somehow landing on his feet. Fenix firing back with an attempted Mexican Muscle Buster — only for Penta to counter into a Penta Driver of his own for another near fall that had fans certain it was over.

It wasn’t.

Through the Table, Through the Pain

The war spilled outside the ring, and Penta cleared the announce desk like he had something to prove. Both men climbed up — and Penta drove his own brother through the table with a second Penta Driver. Back in the ring, Fenix somehow kicked out at two.

That’s when things turned genuinely brutal. Penta went after Fenix’s arm — and didn’t stop until he’d dislocated it.

And Rey Fenix, arm hanging, told him to finish it anyway.

Penta didn’t hesitate. Mexican Destroyer. Pinfall. Match over.

A New No. 1 Contender — and a Moment That Said More Than the Win Did

Penta is your new No. 1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But what happened right after the bell may end up being the story people remember longer than the finish itself — Penta and Rey Fenix, two brothers who had just put each other through a table and dislocated an arm to get here, embracing in the middle of the ring. No bad blood. Just respect.

Then the arena shifted again. Roman Reigns’ music hit. The Tribal Chief walked to the ring while Penta was still celebrating, stepped through the ropes, and posed with the World Heavyweight Championship raised high as RAW went off the air — a silent, ice-cold message to the man who just fought through hell to get to him.

Penta earned this shot the hardest way possible. Now he has to survive Roman Reigns.
