Oba Femi Beats Bron Breakker via DQ as Bronson Reed Returns at Sunday Night’s Main Event

Oba Femi picked up a disqualification win over Bron Breakker at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, but the finish was overshadowed by a stunning twist — the surprise return of Bronson Reed, who left Femi laid out in brutal fashion moments after the bell.

How the Match Unfolded

Billed as a battle over who truly represents “the future of WWE,” the match began with a physical stalemate — neither Breakker’s initial charge nor Femi’s response could knock the other down, until a clothesline from Femi sent Breakker retreating. Femi carried the momentum outside the ring, dropping Breakker hard on the apron and injuring his shoulder. When Breakker attempted a diving clothesline, Femi caught him mid-air, seemingly taking full control.

Just as Femi paused to pay homage to Triple H, Breakker fired back with a diving clothesline over the commentary table, following it up with three running clotheslines in a row to shift the momentum. Breakker then hit double knees off a fireman’s carry and a German suplex, but Femi kicked out each time, refusing to stay down.

Femi eventually found another gear, unloading multiple clotheslines, a turnbuckle drop, and a big boot, before landing a chokeslam — only for Breakker to kick out. The match spilled outside again, with Breakker taking out an interfering Austin Theory through a table before hitting Femi with two consecutive spears. Femi kicked out of both.

The Shocking Finish

Just when it looked like the match might reach a natural conclusion, Logan Paul appeared at ringside with a distraction, allowing Maxxine Dupri to slip Breakker a pair of brass knuckles. As Femi tossed Breakker aside, the referee missed the exchange entirely — and out of nowhere, Bronson Reed stormed in and blasted Femi with a steel chair, handing Femi the win by disqualification.

The chaos didn’t stop there. A returning Reed hit Femi with a Tsunami splash, then helped Breakker land another spear. Reed followed up with a second spear-assist and delivered a fourth Tsunami in total, leaving Femi completely laid out as the segment closed.

What It Means

Despite technically winning, Femi leaves Sunday Night’s Main Event looking anything but victorious after the vicious post-match beatdown. Breakker, meanwhile, showed some of his most aggressive offense in months, hinting he may not be done chasing a marquee singles win. With Bronson Reed’s dramatic, unannounced return now in the mix, WWE has opened the door to a compelling new storyline heading into its next major events.
