Zilla Fatu Just Spilled Blood to Prove He Belongs — And Triple Z Sent a Message

Some nights, a win isn’t enough. Zilla Fatu needed to survive first.

The Bloodline’s newest son squared off against Tristan Angels, and what started as a straightforward tie-up turned into one of those matches where the finish almost feels beside the point — because of everything that happened to get there.

A Fast, Physical Start

The collar-and-elbow lockup barely lasted a second before Tristan Angels went to work — right hands, chops, an elbow that sent Zilla Fatu reeling. For a moment, it looked like Angels was going to run straight through him.

Then Zilla Fatu answered the only way a Bloodline member knows how. A headbutt. A chop that dropped Angels to his knees. A splash in the corner, followed by a back body drop that flipped the momentum entirely. This wasn’t going to be one-sided for long.

Out to the Floor, and It Got Ugly

Angels regained control fast — driving Zilla Fatu’s throat into the middle rope, following it with a kick, an uppercut, refusing to let up. But Zilla Fatu found an opening and sent Angels flying over the top rope and straight through the announce table.

Back in the ring, Angels answered with a kick to the jaw that put Fatu right back on the floor. And that’s when the match took a real turn — Zilla Fatu came up bleeding from the mouth. The referee stopped to check on him ringside, and for a few tense moments, it genuinely looked uncertain whether this was going to continue.

It did. Bloodied, Fatu fought back anyway — driving Angels face-first into the steel steps. Angels responded by sending him into the ring post. Neither man was backing down, blood or no blood.

The Sleeper, and a Fight for Air

Back inside the ropes, Angels hit a snap suplex, but Fatu kept clawing back with a headbutt. Angels sent him to the floor again, and once the match returned to the ring, he locked in a Sleeper Hold dead center — squeezing the life out of Fatu, who was visibly gasping, fighting just to stay conscious.

Angels wasn’t letting go. But Fatu found something extra, powered out, and created separation.

Down the Stretch

What followed was Fatu unloading everything he had — a corner-to-corner turnbuckle sequence, a clothesline, a Senton, a Uranage for a near fall that had the finish written all over it. But Angels wasn’t done either. A missed hip attack from Fatu opened the door for a backstabber that nearly ended things the other way.

The final stretch played out on the top rope — Fatu denying a superplex attempt, both men fighting for position above the ring. Fatu won that battle too, coming down with a superkick, then a Samoan Drop.

And then, Triple Z. Match over.

Zilla Fatu wins.

Bloodied, worn down, and staring down a Sleeper Hold that nearly took the air out of him completely — Zilla Fatu found a way through anyway. If this is what it looks like when he’s tested, The Bloodline may have found exactly the kind of fighter they were hoping for.
